Kings sign defenceman Mark Alt to one-year, two-way contract

The Los Angeles Kings have signed defenceman Mark Alt to a one-year, two-way contract with an average annual value of $700,000 at the NHL level.

Alt played 55 games last season as the captain of the AHL’s Colorado Eagles where he had 13 points.

The 28-year-old has appeared in 18 career NHL games with the Colorado Avalanche and Philadelphia Flyers since being drafted in the second round by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2010 NHL Draft.
