Tampa Bay Lightning defenceman Victor Hedman missed Tuesday night’s game against the Ottawa Senators after being listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
Hedman missed more than half of the first period in Saturday’s game against the San Jose Sharks, though he did return to play a season-low 18:51.
Hedman took a hard hit from Sharks centre Luke Henin in the game.
Hedman has one goal and seven assists in nine games this season.
The Swedish-born Hedman won the Norris Trophy in 2018 and was a key part of Tampa Bay’s back-to-back Stanley Cup championship teams in 2020 and ’21.
