The Toronto Maple Leafs called up goaltender Martin Jones on an emergency basis, the team announced Wednesday, with Ilya Samsonov still sidelined with illness.

Jones will back up starter Joseph Woll, who will get his fifth straight start between the pipes when the Leafs take on the Senators on Thursday.

Jones, 33, has a 3.37 goals-against average and .870 save percentage in five games with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies this season.
