Maple Leafs fans dreaming of Stanley Cup after Foligno trade

Elliotte Friedman joins Martine Gaillard on Sportsnet Central to break down the impact of the Toronto Maple Leafs trades, acquiring Nick Foligno and David Rittich.

Kyle Dubas said he was prepared to pay a premium price to add to his roster and the Toronto Maple Leafs GM did just that by trading for Columbus Blue Jackets captain Nick Foligno.

Dubas sent a first-round pick and a fourth-round pick to the Blue Jackets in the trade, with the Sharks acting as an in-between to retain some salary.

With the Maple Leafs leading the North Division, this season might be the team’s best chance to win a Stanley Cup since 1993 — when Foligno’s dad, Mike, was on the roster. Now that the rugged, skilled Foligno has joined the fold, fans of the team took to Twitter to begin planning the parade.

Here are some of the best reactions to the move.
