The Toronto Maple Leafs are recalling forwards Pontus Holmberg and Alex Steeves and goalie Joseph Woll a day after loaning the trio of players to the Toronto Marlies of the AHL.

All three players were in the lineup for the Marlies game against the Manitoba Moose in a game that was initially suspended back on Jan. 13 after a fan had a medical emergency in the first-period intermission. Holmberg registered an assist while Steeves had a goal and Woll made 21 saves in a 4-2 win.

Holmberg, 23, has scored five goals and totalled 15 points in 35 games with the Maple Leafs this season, while Steeves, also 23, has yet to score in two games.

Woll, 24, made his season debut in Toronto’s 4-3 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday, stopping 36 of the 40 shots he faced.

The Maple Leafs’ next game comes on Wednesday when they host the Chicago Blackhawks.
