Maple Leafs sign Bobby McMann to two-year contract extension

Rambunctious forward Bobby McMann has signed a two-year contract extension, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday.

The average annual value of the contract is $1.35 million.

McMann, 27, has 10 goals and eight assists for 18 assists, adding 36 minutes in penalties, in 40 games with the Maple Leafs this season.

A native of Wainwright, Alta., McMann has 19 points (10 goals, nine assists) in 50 career NHL games with the Maple Leafs. Through 118 games with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL, he has 71 points (49 goals, 22 assists).

In 145 career NCAA games with Colgate University, McMann recorded 92 points (37 goals and 55 assists).

The six-foot-two, 210-pound forward was signed by the Maple Leafs as a free agent on April 2, 2020. He’s coming off a two-year, $1.525-million deal worth $762,500 annually.
