Nick Paul, Lightning agree to seven-year, $22.05M contract extension

Forward Nick Paul and the Tampa Bay Lightning have agreed to a seven-year contract extension that will pay him $3.15 million per year, the team announced Friday.

Paul was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning from the Ottawa Senators ahead of the 2022 trade deadline. He scored five goals and 14 points in 21 regular-season games with the Lightning, in addition to scoring 11 goals and 18 points in 59 regular-season games with the Senators.

In the post-season with Tampa, Paul scored five goals and four assists in 23 playoff games.

In 284 career NHL games, Paul has scored 34 goals and has a total of 80 points.
