One night after Edmonton Oilers teammate Leon Draisaitl hit the 300-goal mark for his career, Evander Kane did the same Tuesday against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Kane potted his 300th goal in the second period, ending a four-game goal drought, after a nice backhand pass from Draisaitl. The goal put the Oilers up 5-3 in a critical game for the Pacific Division title race.
Kane accomplished the feat in his 846th career game, while Draisaitl did so in 630 games.
The Vancouver native has 14 goals in 34 games this season.
Kane missed 10 weeks earlier this season after undergoing wrist surgery following a gruesome injury against the Tampa Bay Lightning in November.
