Oilers, goalie Mike Smith finalize new two-year contract

The Edmonton Oilers have finalized a new two-year contract with goaltender Mike Smith, general manager Ken Holland announced on Thursday.

The contract will carry an average annual value of $2.2 million, according to PuckPedia.

Smith, 39, posted a 21-6-2 record with a .923 save percentage and a 2.31 goals-against average with the Oilers last season.
