Edmonton Oilers centre Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will return to the lineup Wednesday night against the Montreal Canadiens after missing four games with an upper-body injury, according to head coach Dave Tippett.

Nugent-Hopkins, 28, has 12 goals and 16 assists through 40 games and sits fourth in team scoring — behind Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Tyson Barrie — in his 10th season in Edmonton.

The Oilers posted a 3-1 record in his absence and are one point behind the Winnipeg Jets for second place in the North Division heading into Wednesday night.
