Oilers place Tyson Barrie on injured reserve with upper-body injury

The Edmonton Oilers have placed defenceman Tyson Barrie on injured reserve after he suffered an upper-body injury.

Barrie left Thursday’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Chicago Blackhawks with an injury in the second period. Rookie defenceman Philip Broberg was called up from AHL Bakersfield on Friday.

Stuart Skinner was also called up from AHL Bakersfield and will back up Mikko Koskinen when the Oilers face the Flames on Monday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
