The Edmonton Oilers will be searching for an end to a five-game losing streak that has pushed them down the standings in the Western Conference when they entertain the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday night as +105 home underdogs on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The Edmonton offence continued to struggle in a 3-1 loss to Carolina on Saturday that leaves the team knotted with Vegas in third place in the Pacific Division standings heading into Tuesday night’s matchup at Rogers Place.

The Oilers have particularly struggled on home ice during their current slide, scoring just five total goals while dropping four straight. And Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have not been immune to the team’s recent scoring woes, as the Oilers superstars have combined to tally five points over the past four games, with just a single assist coming at even strength.

Hobbled by injuries during their current 2-2-1 run, the Maple Leafs open a four-game road trip in Edmonton as -125 favourites at online sports betting sites. The team has seen two of its recent defeats come on the road. However, the Maple Leafs have dominated in recent trips to Edmonton, winning eight of nine since November 2016 according to the OddsShark NHL Database. But the team will have to make do without the services of forward Mitch Marner, and defencemen Rasmus Sandin and Travis Dermott, all of whom remain sidelined by injury.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Ottawa Senators will vie for a fifth win in six outings as they visit the Florida Panthers as +265 underdogs. The Senators produced the upset of the weekend with Saturday’s 4-0 win over Tampa Bay, and have also eked out narrow victories in two straight road contests. The Panthers, meanwhile, return home after dropping a 3-2 decision in Colorado on Sunday that marked the team’s third loss in seven outings.

Now teetering on the brink of freefall after extending their current losing streak to six games with Saturday’s 4-1 loss in St. Louis, the Montreal Canadiens visit the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday as +230 underdogs. The Canadiens have scored just eight total goals during their current slide, and sport an NHL-worst 2-10-2 road record. Listed as -280 chalk, the Penguins look to extend a four-game win streak during which they have allowed just four total goals.

Elsewhere on the Tuesday NHL odds, the Winnipeg Jets play host to the struggling Buffalo Sabres as heavy -260 betting favourites, and the Vancouver Canucks look to make it five victories in a row as they host the Columbus Blue Jackets as -140 chalk.
