Panthers’ Anthony Duclair faces lengthy recovery after Achilles injury

Florida Panthers winger Anthony Duclair faces a lengthy recovery after injuring his Achilles tendon during off-season training, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reports.

Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic was first to report the injury.

Duclair, who will turn 27 in August, is coming off the most productive season of his career. In 74 games, he set career highs in goals (31), assists (27) and points (54) to help the Panthers win the Presidents’ Trophy.

The Laval, Que., native has two years remaining on his contract with a $3 million annual cap hit.
