Predators sign forward Tommy Novak to one-year, $800k extension

Forward Tommy Novak has signed a one-year, $800,000 extension with the Nashville Predators, the team announced Wednesday. 

After a 27-game stint with the Predators last season, Novak, 25, started this season with their AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals. He made his season debut for Nashville on Dec. 19 after putting up 26 points in 25 games with Milwaukee. 

Novak, a third-round pick in the 2015 draft, has set career highs since being called up. He has four goals and seven assists through 20 games.
