The Nashville Predators signed goaltender Scott Wedgewood to a two-year deal worth an AAV of $1.5 million, according to Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli.

Wedgewood, 31, has spent his last three campaigns with the Dallas Stars, backstopping the Texas side alongside star netminder Jake Oettinger to consecutive Western Conference Finals.

Wedgewood has never appeared in more than 32 games throughout a season and has mainly seen his role limited to backup minutes.

With the Predators having nailed down Juuse Saros for the long term, Wedgewood will be the second option for Nashville come the fall.

Wedgewood was selected in the third round of the 2010 NHL Draft by the New Jersey Devils.
