Cody Glass is on the move.

The Nashville Predators are trading the centreman, along with a 2025 third-round pick and a 2026 sixth-round pick, to the Pittsburgh Penguins, the teams announced Tuesday. Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman was first to report the news.

In return, Nashville is acquiring centre Jordan Frasca.

Glass, 25, signed a two-year, $5 million contract extension with the Predators in the 2023 off-season.

Initially drafted sixth overall by the Vegas Golden Knights in 2017, Glass was traded to the Predators in the three-team deal that eventually sent 2017 second-overall pick Nolan Patrick to the Golden Knights in 2021.

The Winnipeg native had a breakout season in 2022-23, when he notched career-highs in games played (72), goals (14), assists (21) and points (35). Across parts of three seasons with the Predators, Glass has 20 goals and 49 points in 121 games.
