Sabres sign Malcolm Subban to one-year, two-way deal

The Buffalo Sabres and goaltender Malcom Subban have agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract worth $850,000 — according to a press release from the team.

The 28-year-old has spent nine seasons in the National Hockey League, with periodic stints in the American Hockey League.

The Buffalo Sabres acquired Subban back in December 2021 via a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks. The Toronto native played just four games for the team before sustaining a season-ending upper-body injury that required surgery.

Drafted in the first-round by Boston in 2012, Subban has a 36-33-9 record in 86 NHL games, in addition to a 3.10 GAA and .898 SV%.
