Senators’ Tkachuk to miss game vs. Flyers with upper-body injury

Ottawa Senators' Brady Tkachuk is forced to exit the game against the Arizona Coyotes late in the third period after taking a hit from Logan O'Brien.

Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk‘s consecutive-games streak will come to an end at 219 on Saturday as he will miss a game against the Philadelphia Flyers with an upper-body injury, the team said.

The streak was the eighth longest in franchise history.

Defenceman Max Guenette will replace Tkachuk in the lineup, playing in his third career NHL game.

Tkachuk left Friday’s loss to the Arizona Coyotes after getting hit by Logan O’Brien midway through the third period. Tkachuk slowly skated to the bench, put his head down and after a chat with trainer Domenic Nicoletta, walked to the locker room. He did not return to the game.

Tkachuk has 26 goals and 24 assists for 50 points in 58 games this season.
