Ahead of tomorrow night’s opener between Colorado and Edmonton, the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs will conclude tonight in Raleigh with Game 7 between the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers.
Back on Saturday night on Broadway, the Rangers took care of business with a nice and tidy 5-2 victory to set up tonight’s winner take-all. Of course, the Tampa Bay Lightning await the winner in the Eastern Conference Final, which will get underway on Wednesday night.
With all that in mind, here are some prop bets to consider:
PROP #1: Igor Shesterkin Over 31.5 Saves (-110)
Shesterkin’s first round struggles are a distant memory, that’s for sure. Through six games against the Hurricanes, all the Vezina frontrunner has done is register a robust 1.68 goals-against average and 0.949 save-percentage. Additionally, he’s averaged 35 saves a game over his past four outings. The Rangers are 4-0 when facing elimination in these playoffs.
PROP #2: Sebastian Aho Over 0.5 Points (-150)
If the Canes are going to advance to their second Conference Final in four seasons, they’ll need Aho to make an impact offensively. And so far in the series — considering how tightly contested it’s been — he’s done his part tallying two goals and five points. Furthermore, staying consistent with the whole Carolina is a different team at home angle, the Fin has tallied four goals and four assists in seven home playoff games to-date. In the regular season, he notched 43 points in 39 games at PNC Arena.
PROP #3: Adam Fox Over 0.5 Assists (-120)
The 2021 Norris Trophy winner is riding a modest four-game point streak (one goal, five assists) into Game 7 tonight. He has 12 assists — six on the road, six at home — in 13 playoff games and on top of that, he tallied 63 helpers in the regular season. Stay hot!
