Dallas Stars forward Matt Duchene won’t play against the Boston Bruins on Monday because of a lower-body injury, the team said.

Duchene is tied for the team-scoring lead with 55 points (22 goals, 33 assists) in 54 games.

The 33-year-old Duchene signed a one-year, $3-million deal with the Stars prior to the season after the Nashville Predators bought out the Brampton Battalion product with three years left on a seven-year, $56-million deal.

Picked third overall by the Colorado Avalanche in 2009, Duchene is a two-time NHL all-star.
