Tavares says staying a Maple Leaf is what he wanted: ‘I couldn’t be happier’

Toronto Maple Leafs’ John Tavares is happy that the contract extension worked out and he was able to stay, saying it adds more stability in his life and there wasn’t a better fit for him.
