Mason Vaccari posted a 20-save shutout as the Flint Firebirds blanked the Kitchener Rangers 3-0 on Wednesday night in the Ontario Hockey League.
Kaden Pitre, Alex Kostov and Christopher Thibodeau all scored for Flint (2-3-1), which snapped a four-game losing streak.
Christian Kirsch stopped 28 of 31 shots for Kitchener (4-2-0). The Rangers started the season with three straight wins.
