The OHL has suspended a pair of Erie Otters for two dangerous hits that took place in Thursday’s second-round playoff game against the visiting London Knights.

Otters defenceman Kurtis MacDermid received an eight-game ban for a check to the head of Knights forward Max Domi while Erie winger Mason Marchment was suspended indefinitely for a hit to the head of London forward Mitch Marner that resulted in an injury.

Both Domi and Marner missed Game 2 on Friday night.

The Otters took Game 1 of the series thanks to a multi-point night from star forward Connor McDavid.
