Canada will finish second in Group E at the Tokyo Olympics after a draw with Great Britain in the round robin finale.

Great Britain won the group with seven points while the Canadians -- at 1-0-2 -- finished with five points. Both teams have advanced to the quarterfinals, where Canada will face Brazil on Friday.

Canada broke a scoreless draw early in the second half on a goal from Adriana Leon, which would have given Canada top place in the group. But a goal in the 85th minute from Caroline Weir tied the match and secured the draw for Great Britain.

Canada and Great Britain join Sweden, the United States, the Netherlands, Brazil, Japan and Australia in the quarterfinals.

The Canadians are the two-time defending Olympic bronze medalists.
