Canada, which features Jessica Guo (Toronto), Sabrina Fang (Vancouver), Yunjia Zhang (Toronto) and Olympic bronze medalist Eleanor Harvey of Hamilton, Ont., lost 45-31 to the United States in the semifinal.
The Americans will face Italy for gold.
Harvey won bronze in the individual foil event earlier in the Games, becoming the first Canadian to ever medal at the Olympics in fencing.
The team foil bronze medal competition will take place at 1:10 p.m. ET/ 10:10 a.m. PT.
