Canada’s Brad Gushue suffered his first loss of the Olympic men’s curling tournament on Friday in Beijing.
Gushue (2-1) dropped a 5-3 decision to 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic bronze medallist Peter de Cruz (2-1) of Switzerland.
The result leaves 2018 Olympic silver medallist Niklas Edin of Sweden alone in first, at 3-0.

Reigning world champ Bruce Mouat of Great Britain and 2018 Olympic gold medallist John Shuster of the United States are tied with Canada and Switzerland at 2-1.
There was just one deuce in the Canada-Switzerland game — by Gushue in the sixth end.
Trailing 5-3, Gushue had the hammer in the 10th but could not manufacture a deuce.
Gushue, the 2006 Olympic champ, faces Edin on Saturday at 1:05 a.m. ET.
