Canada’s Elena Gaskell says she is dropping out of the freestyle ski big air competition on Monday at the Beijing Olympics.
Gaskell made the announcement in an Instagram post. No reason is listed.
The 20-year-old Gaskell, from Vernon, B.C., has a bronze medal and a fourth-place finish on the World Cup circuit this season.
Gaskell had surgery on a partially torn meniscus in early 2020 — and did not compete in the 2020-21 season.
