Jennifer Jones’ record dropped to 1-1 at the Olympic women’s curling tournament after Canada’s 8-5 loss to Japan’s Satsuki Fujisawa on Friday in Beijing.
We didn’t have our best game against a strong Japanese team in our second match at #Beijing2022.
We’re 1-1 with lots of ahead, including our next one against Sweden at 7:05 p.m. CT.

Fujisawa (1-1), the bronze medallist at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics, recorded steals of one in the first, fourth and fifth ends.
Jones trimmed the deficit to 5-4 in the sixth, but Japan responded with its own deuce in the seventh to restore a three-point lead.

It was the first career Olympic defeat for Jones, who went 11-0 en route to winning gold at the 2014 Sochi Games.
The Winnipeg skip returns to action on Friday at 8:05 p.m. ET against Anna Hasselborg of Sweden.
Switzerland’s Silvana Tirinizoni and Tabitha Peterson of the United States lead the way at 3-0.
