Canadian men's volleyball team gets first win in Tokyo

After dropping its first two games in the Tokyo Olympics, the Canadian men's volleyball team has claimed its first victory.

Canada defeated Iran in straight sets in the preliminary round on Wednesday, improving to 1-2 as they try to move on to the quarterfinals out of Pool A.

Captain Gord Perrin and Nicholas Hoag led the way as Canada opened a 6-1 lead in the first set and never looked back. The Canucks took over the game by a score of 26-16, 25-20, 25-22. They take the court again on Friday against Venezuela.
