The Canadian women's 3x3 basketball team is heading to Paris this summer.
The squad, composed of Paige Crozon, Kacie Bosch and twin sisters Michelle and Katherine Plouffe, earned their spot in the 2024 Olympic Games after beating host Hungary 21-10 in the Olympic qualifying tournament on Sunday.
It was an all-or-nothing third-place game for Canada, who had to win after losing the tournament's semifinal earlier in the day 19-18 to Spain.
With the win, the quartet became the first-ever Canadian 3x3 team to qualify for the Olympics.
On the road to bronze, Canada advanced to the semifinals with a 21-8 quarterfinal win over Italy, with nine points each from Crozon and Katherine Plouffe.
Canada finished top of Pool B with three wins over Chile (21-11), Lithuania (19-16) and Czechia (17-10).
This will be the second Olympic Games to feature 3x3 basketball after it was introduced in Tokyo in 2021.
