Mark McMorris looked good in his return to competition on Sunday.
The Canadian snowboarder reached the Olympic men's slopestyle final by finishing third in qualifying. The top 12 in qualifying will compete for medals on Wednesday.
McMorris, 32, suffered a concussion, bone bruising near his pelvis and an abdominal strain in the crash during big air training on Feb. 4. The Regina native then dropped out of big air qualifying.
McMorris has won the bronze medal in slopestyle at the past three Olympics.
He'll be joined in the final by fellow Canadian Cameron Spalding, who finished fifth in qualifying.
Canada's Eli Bouchard just missed out on the final, finishing 13th.
New Zealand's Dane Menzies, who grew up in Canmore, Alta., finished first in qualifying.
