STOCKHOLM, Sweden — World-record holder Usain Bolt will race against Asafa Powell in the 100 metres at the DN Galan meet July 22.

"We are very happy," director Rajne Soderberg said Friday. "Powell always liked competing in Stockholm, and Bolt ran in a relay here two years ago."

Bolt set the world record of 9.72 seconds in New York a month ago, breaking Powell’s mark of 9.74. They last met at Jamaica’s Olympic trials in late June. Bolt won the 100 in 9.85, 0.12 ahead of Powell. Both qualified for August’s Beijing Olympics.

Last year, Powell won the 100 at the DN Galan in 10.04.
