Veteran Canadian forward Brianne Jenner was named tournament MVP after Canada won the gold medal in the women’s hockey tournament at the Beijing Winter Olympics on Thursday.

Jenner — who was playing in her third Olympic Games — scored nine goals in the tournament to tie the record for most in a single competition. She also added five assists for 14 points.

Jenner’s tournament highlight was a hat trick and four points in a preliminary-round win over Finland — the eventual bronze medalists.

She had one assist in the 3-2 win over the United States in the gold-medal game.
