After Canada nabbed a pair of medals on the women’s side of the freestyle ski halfpipe, Noah Bowman topped three Canadians in the men’s competition with a fourth-place finish earned on Day 15 of the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.

Bowman’s best run was his second one, when he scored 84.75 points — just two points shy of American Alex Ferreira’s bronze-medal run (86.75).

New Zealand’s Nico Porteous, the world champion entering the event, took home gold with a 93.75-point run, while U.S. skier David Wise (90.75) earned silver.

Bowman’s fourth-place finish comes after he placed fifth in the freestyle ski halfpipe at both the 2014 and 2018 Olympic Winter Games.

Other Canadians to compete in the 12-man final were Brendan Mackay, who placed ninth, and Simon d’Artois, who placed 10th.
