Canadian Brady Leman wins silver in ski cross at World Cup

FELDBERG, Germany — Canada’s Brady Leman won silver at a ski cross World Cup on Saturday.

Leman, of Calgary, finished second behind France’s Jean Frederic Chapuis. Alex Fiva of Switzerland took bronze.

Christopher Delbosco, in his 10th season on the ski cross World Cup circuit, finished fourth.

Canadians not in the four-man final were David Duncan (11th), Mathieu Leduc (14th), Ian Deans (15th), Ned Ireland (16th), Kevin Drury (25th) and Trent McCarthy (32nd).

Brittany Phelan of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Que., placed sixth in the women’s race.

Heidi Zacher of Germany won gold, Fanny Smith of Switzerland followed in second and Sweden’s Sandra Naeslund was third.
