The St. Louis Blues are Stanley Cup Champions, Free Agency is mostly over...so now what?

Ryan and Rory break down the last major FA moves, and spend some time on Mitch Marner vs. the Leafs, as well as the RFAs (Sebastian Aho notwithstanding) who have yet to sign with their teams.

Later, they take a look at how the Winnipeg Jets will compete in a tough Central division race, and end on a way-too-early lookahead to the major free agents of 2020, including the tantalizing decision of Devils forward Taylor Hall. This episode is produced and sound engineered by Shoaib Alli, and hosted by Ryan Dixon and Rory Boylen.

July 2: Recapping The 2019 Free Agent Frenzy
July 02 2019

The first day of free agency is in the books! Ryan and Rory are all over the big signings, including the Rangers flexing their muscle by inking Artemi Panarin, the Preds doing what everyone expected and signing Matt Duchene, and Florida addressing a huge hole in goal with the Sergei Bobrovsky contract.

They also break down the offer sheet extended to Sebastian Aho by the Montreal Canadiens. Why didn't the Habs up the ante? And what does this mean for the remaining RFAs like Mitch Marner and Patrik Laine?

Finally, the boys touch on every Canadian team, list some free agency winners from Day 1 and dissect a goalie carousel that has numerous masked men landing in new spots.

Note: This episode was recorded before the Leafs/Avalanche evening trade. Reaction to that trade will follow later today or tomorrow!

June 24: Takeaways From The 2019 NHL Draft
June 24 2019

On this episode of Tape to Tape, the boys go deep on everything that occurred from a busy draft floor in Vancouver. Ryan and Rory kick things off by discussing the P.K. Subban trade that clears some desperately needed salary cap space for the Nashville Predators, and also give their take on what's next for the Toronto Maple Leafs after moving Patrick Marleau (and his $6.25-million salary).

As for the draft itself, the first-round pick of every Canadian team is examined. Vancouver's history with Russian draft picks might be worse than any club in the league, but can Vasili Podkolzin change all that? Montreal may have found a real gem in Cole Caufield, while Edmonton, Ottawa and Winnipeg all went with defencemen in Round 1.

Finally, the boys put a bow on the entire event, highlighting some teams they felt left the Draft with a trove of exciting young players.

This episode was produced and sound engineered by Shoaib Alli, and hosted by Rory Boylen and Ryan Dixon.
