Episode 34: That Night In Sweden
May 08 2019

Andre Deveaux played 13 pro hockey seasons in eight leagues across the globe. But he is perhaps most famous for an ugly on-ice incident in Sweden during the 2015 playoffs. However, that event does not define him as a person or a player. This is the story of a journeyman tough guy seeing the world on his skates. And one night in Sweden.

Episode 33: What The CFL Will Look Like In 10 Years
April 05 2019

CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie has big plans for his small league to grab a piece of the international football pie. He joins Jeff and Stephen to discuss how he'll go about that with a league that hasn't changed much over the years and has a loyal, but steeped-in-tradition fan base.

"We will have somewhere between 50 and 70 million people around the world watching Grey Cup. And maybe a 100 million by the time we're done. We won't have one international broadcast deal, we'll have 10." - CFL Commissioner, Randy Ambrosie

Episode 32: The Disruptor
March 20 2019

Tom Dundon is an entrepreneur, billionaire, majority owner of the “bunch of jerks” Carolina Hurricanes and chairman of the upstart Alliance of American Football. The 47-year-old has been condemned by some as a meddler and hailed by others as a maverick since he took over the Canes. Dundon joins Stephen and Jeff for a candid conversation about his approach to sports ownership, what led him to the NHL, his vision for the AAF and more.

Episode 31: The Life And Times Of Frank Robinson
March 07 2019

The world lost a role model when Frank Robinson died February 7. A 14-time All-Star. A Triple Crown winner. A Hall of Famer. Two World Series rings. The only player to win MVP in both the American National Leagues. The first African-American manager in MLB. And so much more. Robinson’s resume is one of the best sports has ever seen. But he represented more than just his baseball achievements.

Jeff and Stephen discuss Robinson’s life on and off the field, recalling what it was like to cover him as a manager and how he was a pivotal personality in America during an era of social upheaval. They are also joined by film producer and former sports columnist David Israel, who offers his own stories of Robinson off the field.
