Liam Millar played hero this weekend, propelling Hull City to a 1-0 victory over Coventry in English Premier League action.

Millar magic
The Tigers were promoted after winning the English Football League playoffs last spring, but little was expected of the squad to begin the campaign.
Now Hull is off to a perfect start, stunning Manchester City 2-0 to open the season then earning a 1-0 victory over Coventry on Saturday.
Millar's late strike proved the difference maker. The 26-year-old Toronto native collected a pass in the midfield and steamed up the field before blasting right-footed blast from the penalty arc past goalkeeper Carl Rushworth, registering his first Premier League goal in the game's 82nd minute.
David's debut
Less than two weeks after being acquired by Brighton & Hove Albion, Promise David made his Premier League debut on Sunday.
The six-foot-four striker from Brampton, Ont., came on for Charalampos Kostoulas in the 80th minute as Brighton fell 4-3 to Chelsea.
The club picked up the big Canadian on a season-long loan from Belgium's Union Saint-Gilloise on Aug. 18. The deal includes a sale clause with a reported fee of $29.7 million if certain undisclosed targets are met.
Larin's brace
Cyle Larin had a brace for Southampton as his club picked up its first points of the English Championship season.
The 31-year-old forward from Brampton, Ont., scored in both the 25th and 62nd minutes, helping Southampton roll to a 5-1 win over Millwall.
Alfie off the bench
Substitute Alfie Jones scored as Middlesbrough beat West Bromwich Albion 3-1 in Championship action.
The 28-year-old centre back came on for Morgan Whitaker in the 68th minute and scored in the 87th.
Jones was born and raised in England, but got his Canadian citizenship in November and was one of the 26 players named to Canada's World Cup team this summer.
