A PWHL star is on the move.
Former Toronto Sceptres forward Emma Maltais has signed a two-year contract with the Montreal Victoire, the team announced on Tuesday.
Maltais spent her first three PWHL seasons with the Sceptres, recording 11 goals and 27 assists over 84 games. She added two goals and four assists in nine career playoff games. Now, she joins one of Toronto's biggest rivals.
The 26-year-old from Burlington, Ont., has represented Canada internationally, winning gold and silver medals at the 2022 and 2026 Winter Olympics, respectively.
Maltais joins a Montreal team that is the reigning Walter Cup champion and features all-time great forwards in the likes of Marie-Philip Poulin and Laura Stacey.
