The Minnesota Frost aren't letting Kelly Pannek or Taylor Heise get away.
The team announced Wednesday that the star forwards have been re-signed to three-year contracts.
With the signing, Pannek and Heise become the first two Frost players to be protected ahead of the league's expansion roster distribution process.
Pannek led the PWHL with a single-season record of 33 points across 30 games in 2025-26. She also had 16 goals, which was a league-high, while her 17 assists tied for second-most.
The 30-year-old is a two-time Walter Cup champion with the Frost, and a staple on the U.S. national team with three Olympic and seven world championship appearances.
Pannek also won back-to-back NCAA National Championships with the University of Minnesota during her collegiate career.
Heise, meanwhile, had a career-best 30 points (13 goals and 17 assists) in 30 games last season.
The 26-year-old was the first overall selection in the PWHL's inaugural draft and was named the 2024 Ilana Kloss Playoff MVP award winner.
She made her Olympic debut this year for Team USA and has played in four world championships.
