The Vancouver Goldeneyes have signed their top prospect, defender Caroline (KK) Harvey to a three-year contract.
The team announced the news on Tuesday, months after selecting the 23-year-old American first overall in June's Professional Women's Hockey League entry draft.
Harvey is coming off a stellar collegiate career, including last season, when she put up 18 goals and 64 points for Wisconsin, won her third NCAA championship and claimed the Patty Kazmaier Award as the top player in women's college hockey.
She also shone at the 2026 Olympics, tallying two goals and nine points over seven games as the United States edged Canada 2-1 in overtime to win gold.
The performances saw Harvey named the International Ice Hockey Federation's female hockey player of the year.
She joins a Goldeneyes roster that includes Canada's Sophie Jaques, who put up 20 points in 30 games last season and was shortlisted for the PWHL's defender of the year award.
"I am super excited to sign with Vancouver for the next three years,” Harvey said in a release. “When I first visited the city after I was drafted, I could feel the excitement for the team and how much they love hockey. I can’t wait to get to work with my teammates, and to play in front of the Goldeneyes fans.”
Vancouver's new general manager Alison Izzi said the team is looking forward to supporting Harvey's "continued development as an elite player."
"KK is an incredibly accomplished defender whose achievements speak for themselves, and we are excited for her to bring her trademark speed and dynamic playing style to our roster," she said.
