PWHL Montreal's Marie-Philip Poulin earned the league's first star of the week honours after notching three goals, 10 shots and a plus-3 in two games last week, the league announced Monday.
The captain was the second PWHL player to score a hat trick and the first on Montreal to do so. Poulin sits third in league scoring and is tied for second in goals, leading her squad to second place in the PWHL standings.
New York defender Ella Shelton earned second star after factoring on all goals scored by her team last week, with one goal and four assists in two games. She sits atop league scoring, with six points.
Minnesota forward and first-overall pick Taylor Heise was awarded third star after scoring a pair of highlight-reel goals against Toronto. She finished the week sitting tied for second with Poulin for goals (three).
