The last 24 hours have given PWHL New York fans a lot to look forward to.
Monday's draft saw New York select Canadian Sarah Fillier first overall and they followed that up on Tuesday by announcing that they have extended goaltender Corinne Schroeder to a two-year contract.
This may not come as a shock to fans who tuned into the draft, as Schroder was spotted with her squad as selections were made in St. Paul ahead of Tuesday's announcement.
Schroder was a nominee for goaltender of the year despite New York's last-place finish. Through 15 games she registered a 2.40 goals-against average along with a .930 save percentage.
