The PWHL off-season is underway, and with expansion, free agency, contract extensions, and trades reshaping rosters across the league, teams are working quickly to position themselves.
Following the addition of four new franchises and a busy player distribution process, every organization faces important decisions as they build toward opening night.
This tracker will provide a team-by-team look at every notable signing, re-signing, trade, and roster move made during the PWHL off-season.
Boston Fleet
Player: Susanna Tapani
Acquisition: Re-signed to two-year contract
Details: Tapani, a forward from Finland, is returning to the Fleet on a new contract. The 33-year-old had nine goals and 18 points in 30 games last season.
Detroit
Player: Hilary Knight
Acquisition: Joined via sign-and-trade with Las Vegas
Details: Expansion franchise Detroit is sending a first-round pick to Las Vegas after the latter team signed the 36-year-old legend to a foundational contract, as it still had one of its slots open. Detroit had used its previous foundational slot to sign Daryl Watts last week.
Player: Cayla Barnes
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year deal
Details: Barnes appeared in 30 games for Seattle during the 2025-26 season, recording eight points. Barnes was originally selected with the fifth overall pick of the 2024 PWHL Draft by Montreal.
Player: Hannah Bilka
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year deal
Details: Bilka played in 14 games with the Torrent during the 2025-26 season, contributing nine points before suffering an upper-body injury. Bilka was originally picked fourth overall by Boston in the 2024 PWHL Draft.
Player: Jesse Compher
Acquisition: Signed to a three-year contract
Details: Compher comes to Detroit after playing three seasons in Toronto. She was initially selected by the Sceptres in the fifth round of the inaugural PWHL draft, and went on to rack up 35 points and 16 goals over 84 games she played in Toronto. Compher and her brother, J.T. Compher, are now set to become the first siblings to play in the same city in the PWHL and NHL, according to The Score's Kyle Cushman.
Player: Britta Curl-Salemme
Acquisition: Signed to a three-year contract
Details: Curl-Salemme joins Detroit after spending the last two seasons with the Frost. The 26-year-old has 20 goals and 24 assists through 58 regular-season games. She helped the U.S. win a gold medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Player: Daryl Watts
Acquisition: Signed to a four-year contract
Details: Watts, 27, played with the Ottawa Charge in the PWHL's first season and spent the past two years with the Toronto Sceptres. She ranks second all-time in career goals with 32 and is tied for third in career points with 63. In 2025-26 with the Sceptres, Watts led the team with 19 points (10 goals and nine assists) and made history as the first PWHL player to score 10 or more goals in three consecutive seasons.
Player: Nina Jobst-Smith
Acquisition: Signed to a one-year contract
Details: Detroit has added more young talent to the blue line. Jobst-Smith is coming off a rookie season with the Vancouver Goldeneyes, where she had three assists in 20 games while missing some time with injuries. She was a third-round pick in the 2025 PWHL Draft and is a former captain at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Jobst-Smith also represented Germany at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Player: Shiann Darkangelo
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: Michigan-native Shiann Darkangelo is coming home to join PWHL Detroit. A forward, Darkangelo is a three-year PWHL veteran who is coming off a Walter Cup title with the Montreal Victoire. The 32-year-old had eight points in 30 games and was Montreal's face-off leader.
Player: Taylor Girard
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: PWHL Detroit has added another Michigan native to their initial roster. Girard, a defender, joins Detroit after playing last season with the New York Sirens. The 27-year-old has 12 goals and 17 points in 63 career games.
Player: Sydney Bard
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: Defender Sydney Bard is joining PWHL Detroit after spending last season with the Vancouver Goldeneyes. The 25-year-old had two assists in 30 games last season. She spent her rookie season with the Boston Fleet and played five years of college hockey at Colgate University.
Player: Ella Huber
Acquisition: Signed to a one-year contract
Details: Huber, a forward, leaves the Boston Fleet to join PWHL Detroit. As a rookie last season, she appeared in all 30 games, scoring four goals and two assists. She added two assists in four playoff games. The 24-year-old was a second-round pick (10th overall) in 2025 after playing four seasons at the University of Minnesota.
Hamilton
Player: Kayla Vespa
Acquisition: Two-year contract
Details: Hamilton is bringing one of its hometown heroes into the fold, as the former New York Siren joins the team's inaugural roster. The 13th overall pick in the inaugural PWHL Draft, Vespa has two goals and three assists over 63 career regular-season games.
Player: Alexa Vasko
Acquisition: Two-year contract
Details: A native of St. Catharines, Ont., Vasko has played the past two seasons with the Ottawa Charge and finished the 2025-26 campaign with two goals and one assist in 30 regular-season games.
Player: Alina Muller
Acquisition: Signed to a three-year contract
Details: Hamilton's new PWHL team continues to shape its roster with Alina Müller joining on a three-year deal. Muller spent the last three seasons in Boston and reunites with head coach Kris Sparre. In 80 career regular-season games, Müller is tied for the most assists in PWHL history with 40 and sits tied for 10th all-time in scoring with 56 points.
Player: Brianne Jenner
Acquisition: Signed a three-year contract
Details: Jenner, 35, spent the last three seasons as a foundational member of the Ottawa Charge, serving as captain. She's the franchise's all-time leading scorer with 61 points, which also ranks eighth in PWHL history.
Player: Kayle Osborne
Acquisition: Signed to a three-year contract
Details: Osborne became New York’s starting netminder in 2025-26. She played in 27 of 30 games and posted a .906 save percentage with a 2.47 goals-against average. Her 11 wins ranked fourth in the league, and her four shutouts ranked third. With five career shutouts, she's tied for third in PWHL history.
Player: Nicole Gosling
Acquisition: Signed to a three-year contract
Details: Hamilton added to its blue line, signing Gosling to a multi-year deal. The 24-year-old was a finalist for the PWHL Rookie of the Year award after scoring three goals and 19 points. Gosling was selected fourth overall in the 2025 PWHL Draft by Montreal and helped the Victoire capture the Walter Cup in 2026.
Player: Emily Clark
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: Hamilton has officially added its last of five players during Phase 2 of the PWHL's expansion roster distribution process, with the addition of Clark. The forward and three-time Olympic medalist was under contract with the Ottawa Charge, but now joins Hamilton on a new deal through the same period. Clark was one of Ottawa’s three foundational players ahead of the inaugural PWHL season, serving as an alternate captain since the team’s debut while leading the Charge in all-time games played.
Player: Zoe Boyd
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: Hamilton added another defender in Zoe Boyd. Inked to a two-year deal, the 25-year-old played 12 games for the Boston Fleet last season, tallying one assist and four penalty minutes. The Caledon East, Ont., native was first selected by Ottawa in the ninth round (53rd overall) in the inaugural PWHL Draft. In two seasons with the Charge, Boyd put up six assists and 27 penalty minutes across 39 games played.
Player: Abby Hustler
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: Forward Abby Hustler is leaving the Minnesota Frost to join PWHL Hamilton. The Prince Edward Island native had 13 points while appearing in all 30 games as a rookie last season.
Player: Riley Brengman
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: Brengman, a defender, joins PWHL Hamilton after her rookie season with the Boston Fleet. A 23-year-old from Michigan, Brengman had three points in 28 games last season. She was a two-time national champion with the Ohio State Buckeyes in her college career.
Player: Allyson Simpson
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: Defender Allyson Simpson is joining PWHL Hamilton after two seasons with the New York Sirens. The 25-year-old had five points in 30 games last season, while averaging more than 19 minutes of ice time per game.
Player: Peyton Hemp
Acquisition: Signed to a one-year contract
Details: Hemp, 23, recorded two goals and seven assists in her rookie season with the Charge last season. She was the final addition for Hamilton during Phase 4 of the expansion process.
Las Vegas
Player: Nicole Hensley
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: PWHL Las Vegas has found a goaltender. Hensley, a two-time Olympian with the United States, joins Las Vegas after three seasons with the Minnesota Frost. Hensley helped the Frost win back-to-back Walter Cup titles and has appeared in 38 total games over her PWHL career, posting a .910 save percentage and 2.46 goals-against average with 21 wins and three shutouts.
Player: Maureen Murphy
Acquisition: Signed to a one-year contract
Details: Veteran forward Maureen Murphy is joining PWHL Las Vegas after winning a Walter Cup with the Montreal Victoire. Murphy had seven points in 21 games last season and has 29 points in 73 career games.
Player: Katy Knoll
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: PWHL Las Vegas are adding a rising star to their forward corps. Knoll, 25, is coming off two seasons with the Minnesota Frost, including winning a Walter Cup in her rookie campaign. She had nine points in 30 games last season.
Player: Megan Carter
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: Carter spent 2025-26 with the last-place Torrent, where she appeared in all 30 regular-season games. The defenceman had one goal and four assists while being a negative-four.
Player: Kendall Cooper
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: After being drafted with the sixth pick in the 2025 PWHL Draft by Minnesota, Cooper will head to Las Vegas on the open market. The 24-year-old blue-liner had 19 points in 30 games for the Frost in her rookie season.
Player: Mae Batherson
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: Batherson joins Las Vegas after spending two seasons in Minnesota. The 25-year-old had three goals and 12 assists for the Frost in 2025-26 and has eight games of post-season experience, including a Walter Cup title in her rookie campaign.
Player: Erin Ambrose
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: Star defender Ambrose joins Las Vegas after winning the Walter Cup with Montreal in 2025-26. The Canadian National Team stalwart had six assists in 21 games with the Victoire last season — her third with the franchise. Ambrose was named the inaugural PWHL defender of the year in 2024.
Player: Hayley Scamurra
Acquisition: Signed to a three-year contract
Details: Scamurra played a significant role in helping lead Montreal to its first Walter Cup title this season, contributing four points in nine playoff games. She skated in all 30 of the Victoire’s regular-season contests, recording a career-high 16 points after posting 13 points in her first two PWHL seasons combined, split between Ottawa and Toronto.
Minnesota Frost
Player: Kelly Pannek
Acquisition: Re-signed to a three-year contract
Details: Pannek led the PWHL with a single-season record of 33 points across 30 games in 2025-26. She also had 16 goals, which was a league-high, while her 17 assists tied for second-most.
Player: Grace Zumwinkle
Acquisition: Re-signed to a three-year contract
Details: Zumwinkle had career highs with 23 points in 29 games, tied for fifth among all skaters, and was fourth in the league with 13 goals.
Player: Lee Stecklein
Acquisition: Re-signed to a two-year deal
Details: Stecklein had a goal and four points in 28 games last season. She was one of the three foundational players signed by Minnesota ahead of the inaugural PWHL season and helped the Frost reach two Walter Cup championships.
Player: Taylor Heise
Acquisition: Re-signed to a three-year contract
Details: Heise had a career-best 30 points (13 goals and 17 assists) in 30 games last season. The 26-year-old was the first overall selection in the PWHL's inaugural draft and was named the 2024 Ilana Kloss Playoff MVP award winner.
Montreal Victoire
Player: Jessie Eldridge
Acquisition: Signed to two-year deal
Details: The Canadian joins the champs after splitting last season between the Boston Fleet and Seattle Torrent, for whom she combined to put up 14 goals across 30 games. Eldridge, an Olympic champion, started her PWHL career with the NEw York Sirens. She has 30 goals and 31 assists in 84 games.
Player: Maggie Flaherty
Acquisition: Re-signed to two-year deal
Details: The Victoire are bringing back one of their defenders. Flaherty had three goals in nine playoff games to help Montreal win the Walter Cup. A three-year veteran with Montreal and Minnesota, Flaherty is the only three-time Walter Cup champion in PWHL history.
Player: Abby Roque
Acquisition: Re-signed to two-year deal.
Details: Roque returns to the Walter Cup-winning Victoire on a two-year deal. The forward finished the 2025-26 regular season with eight goals and 22 points in 29 games.

Player: Dara Greig
Acquisition: two-year deal
Details: Greig joins the Charge from the Montréal Victoire, where she contributed a career-high five points (three goals, two assists) in 29 regular-season games and one assist in nine post-season contests in the team’s first Walter Cup title run.

Player: Kristin Della Rovere
Acquisition: One-year deal
Details: A 25-year-old centre from Caledon, Ont., Della Rovere represented Italy at the 2026 Olympics, finishing with four points while helping the host nation advance to the quarterfinals.
Player: Abbey Levy
Acquisition: One-year deal
Details: A 26-year-old goaltender, Levy made three appearances for the Boston Fleet in the 2025-26 season, posting a 1-1-1 record with a 2.33 GAA and .927 save percentage
Player: Natálie Mlýnková
Acquisition: One-year deal
Details: A champion with the Montreal Victoire in her rookie year this past season, the 25-year-old picked up 10 points (five goals, five assists) in 30 regular-season games and was just one of 10 rookies league-wide to reach double-digit points on the year. She was selected by Montreal 12th overall at the 2025 PWHL Draft.
Player: Kristin O'Neill
Acquisition: Expansion Foundation Offer with two-year deal
Details: A strong two-way forward, O'Neill spent last season with the New York Sirens, tallying four goals and one assist in 30 games. A Team Canada selection for the 2026 Olympics, the Oakville native had three goals and two assists in seven games at Milano-Cortina.
Player: Rory Guilday
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year deal
Details: Guilday joined the Charge after being selected fifth overall in the 2025 PWHL Draft. The 23-year-old registered nine points in 30 games during her rookie season and helped Ottawa reach the Walter Cup Finals.
Player: Corinne Schroeder
Acquisition: Agreed to a two-year contract
Details: For its first-ever signing, PWHL San Jose has agreed to a two-year deal with goaltender Corinne Schroeder. She spent her first two PWHL seasons in New York before joining Seattle as an expansion pickup. The 26-year-old is third all-time with five shutouts and has a .921 save percentage in 52 career regular-season games.
Player: Anne Cherkowski

Details: Cherkowski moves from New York to San Jose on a two-year deal. The 23-year-old forward recorded nine points (Two goals, seven assists) in 28 games in her rookie season with the Sirens in 2025-26.

Details: Hartmetz joins San Jose after spending the last two years in Boston. The 25-year-old defender recorded seven assists in 27 games for the Fleet last season. She played just two games in her rookie season due to a lower-body injury.
Player: Maggie Connors
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: Connors, 25, becomes San Jose's seventh player, reuniting with head coach Troy Ryan after three seasons together in Toronto. In the 2025-26 campaign, the forward tallied two goals and two assists in 30 games. The St. John's, N.L., native has demonstrated consistency, competing in all 84 regular-season games the Sceptres have played since the PWHL was launched in 2024.

Details: Keopple is the final Phase 3 signing by San Jose and the eighth player to join the team. The 25-year-old defender recorded three assists in 29 games for the Seattle Torrent last season.

Acquisition: Re-signed to a three-year contract
Details: The 31-year-old Fast has spent all three seasons in Toronto and was the league’s 2025 defender of the year. From Burlington, Ont., she’s a three-time Canadian Olympian, and her 45 career points (10 goals, 35 assists) rank second among PWHL blue-liners.
Player: Kali Flanagan
Acquisition: Re-signed to a three-year contract
Details: The Toronto Sceptres re-signed defender Kali Flanagan. The 30-year-old has spent her entire three-year PWHL career in Toronto after first getting picked by the Sceptres in the sixth round (35th overall) of the inaugural PWHL Draft. Last season, she put up five assists and seven points in 30 games played.
Player: Raygan Kirk
Acquisition: Re-signed to a three-year contract
Details: The 25-year-old Kirk had a breakthrough campaign in taking over the starting duties in her second PWHL season. With an 8-8-6 record and three shutouts, she ranked third among PWHL goalies with a 1.87 goals-against average and .934 save percentage.
Player: Jamie Lee Rattray
Acquisition: Signed to a two-year contract
Details: A former Team Canada forward, Rattray played her last three PWHL seasons with the Boston Fleet. The 30-year-old is coming off a season where she put up four goals and eight assists over 30 regular-season games and then chipped in one playoff marker.
Vancouver Goldeneyes
Player: Sarah Nurse
Acquisition: Re-signed to a two-year contract
Details: In 2025-26, the Hamilton, Ont., native played just 19 of 30 games, missing 11 due to injury, and posted nine goals and six assists. Prior to joining Vancouver, Nurse played two seasons with the Toronto Sceptres, recording 37 points (17 goals and 20 assists) over 45 games.
Player: Jenn Gardiner
Acquisition: Re-signed to a three-year contract
Details: Gardiner closed her sophomore season second on the Goldeneyes in points (19) and tied for the team’s lead in goals (nine). Gardiner, who was a finalist for Rookie of the Year honours in Montreal before joining Vancouver, set the PWHL's single-game goal record with a four-goal performance against Seattle on April 18.
Player: Izzy Daniel
Acquisition: Re-signed to a two-year contract
Details: Daniel put up seven goals, including three game-winners, and 10 points in the Goldeneyes’ inaugural season, improving upon her rookie performance with Toronto (two goals, five assists). She joined the PWHL as a third-round pick in the 2024 draft.
Player: Abby Boreen
Acquisition: Traded by PWHL Las Vegas to Vancouver
Details: Boreen, who spent last season with the Goldeneyes, is acquired by Vancouver alongside the 17th overall pick in exchange for the 13th overall pick at the 2026 PWHL Draft. In 30 games last season she recorded four goals and five assists. She had signed a one-year deal with the expansion Las Vegas.
