Kristen Campbell is heading west.
The Toronto Sceptres traded Campbell and the 19th overall pick in Tuesday's draft to PWHL Vancouver in exchange for the 16th and 23rd overall selections, the teams announced.
Toronto was in the market to move off a goalie after signing Elaine Chuli to a free-agent deal earlier this month.
Campbell, 27, played 21 games for the Sceptres last season, posting a 9-8-4 record, .910 save percentage and 2.25 goals-against average.
The Manitoba native has played in more games than any other goaltender in the PWHL's two years, taking the ice for 43 contests.
In 2024, Campbell won the PWHL's first Goaltender of the Year Award. During the regular season, she finished with a 16-6-0 record, three shutouts, a 1.99 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage.
Campbell has played with Canada at five separate world championships and the 2022 Olympic Games, earning four gold medals.
She was originally drafted in the third round of the 2023 PWHL Draft by Toronto
With Vancouver, Campbell is set to form a duo in net with Emerance Maschmeyer, who signed with the expansion franchise earlier this month.
Toronto ended up using the 16th pick on forward Kiara Zanon (Ohio State) and the 23rd pick on forward Clara Van Wieren (Minnesota-Duluth). Vancouver drafted defender Nina Jobst-Smith (Minnesota-Duluth) with the 19th selection.
