The Toronto Sceptres have activated forward Lauren Messier from the reserve list for a second time.
Messier has been signed to a 10-day standard player agreement while forward Emma Gentry is sidelined with a lower-body injury, the team announced on Friday.
The Burlington, Ont., native was activated for home games in November and December, but Friday's move comes ahead of a west-coast road trip and will mark Messier's first PWHL games on the road.
The 22-year-old former Dartmouth College captain had a career year in her final season of NCAA play when she scored eight goals and nine assists. She has yet to record a point in the PWHL.
The Sceptres travel to Seattle to play in front of an almost sold-out crowd at Climate Pledge Arena on Friday night.
