NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series:
Last Race: Sunday July 11th: Atlanta Motor Speedway, Commerce Georgia: Kurt Busch ultimately captured the win after a spirited battle with younger brother Kyle Busch. The Busch brothers swept the first two stages. The brothers continued battling for position during the final stage, each spending time at the front of the pack. The race was red-flagged with 93 laps remaining due to a hole in the track surface on the front stretch. The track is scheduled to be re-paved.
Points: Just 5 races to do before the NASCAR Cup Playoff begins! Clinched: Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson, Martin Truex Jr. and Alex Bowman.
Next Race: Sunday July 18th: New Hampshire. Last race before a two week break for the money-wasting Olympics.

Formula One World Driving Championship:
Next Race: Sunday July 18th: The British Grand Prix, Silverstone.
Last Race: Sunday July 4th: Austrian Grand Prix, Red Bull Ring, Spielberg Austria: 2nd of back-to-back GP’s here. It’s now a season of dominance for Red Bull’s Max Vestappen! 3rd win in a row, all from the pole, 5th of the season. His lead on rival Lewis Hamilton as wide as 20 seconds at times as he led every lap. Hamilton, with floor damage that took away rear down-force, only 4th. Valtteri Bottas finished 2nd in Austria, Lando Norris 3rd. Both Canadians out of the points. Lance Stroll 13th with a penalty: too fast on pit lane. Nick Latifi 15th.
ET: F-1 Points into the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on the 18th: Verstappen’s lead in Drivers over Hamilton is now 30. Red Bull’s lead on Merc in Constructors is 44.

Next Race: ( Summer break! ) Sunday August 8th: Nashville TN street race. 6 races remain for the season.
Last Race: Sunday July 4th: Mid-Ohio Road Course, Lexington Ohio: After mechanical bad luck the last two, Josef Newgarden killed it from the pole for his first win of the season. Marcus Ericsson 2nd, Alex Palou 3rd. James Hinchcliffe started 9th but wound up 17th with an “off”. Dalton Kellett: 21st. Coming Up: Canada’s Dalton Kellett in our 2nd guest segment.
Points into Nashville: Palou leads O’Ward by 39.

Next Rally: July 18th Rally Estonia at Tartu.
Last Rally: June 27th: Nairobi, Kenya, Africa: defending champ Sebastien Ogier fell 2 and a half minutes behind with suspension issues on day-one but fought back for the win, 21 seconds ahead of Japan’s Takamoto Katsuda.
