NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series:

Last Race: Sunday November 8th: “Final 4” race, Phoenix Arizona: Eligible: Elliott, Logano, Hamlin and Keselowski. Chase Elliott had the pole, but started dead last for failing tech inspection.

But he fought back to lead a bunch, lost it to Joey Logano on the last pit stop, but got the lead back with 42 to go then cruised the rest of the way for the win to take his first CUP title in his 5th year in Cup, 31 years after his Dad Bill took his.

At 24, Elliott from Dawsonville GA is the 3rd youngest to win a championship and just the 3rd father/son combo to accomplish the feat! It’s NASCAR Cup championship # 13 for Hendrick Motorsports.

The 2020 season is now closed.
