2022 is our 30th Anniversary Season!
Formula One World Driving Championship:
Last Race: Sunday September 4th: The Dutch Grand Prix, Zandvoort, The Netherlands: Home land hero Max Verstappen had a rather easy win, while Lewis Hamilton was fuming and swearing on the radio at Toto Wolff over Mercedes’ bad tire strategy during a late Safety Car. Verstappen effortlessly passed Hamilton on soft tires on the re-start with Lewis stuck out there on slower mediums, Max’s 4th win in a row, 10th of the season, to fatten his points lead. Hamilton slipped off the podium into 4th behind Merc-mate George Russell who wound up 2nd, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc 3rd. Ferrari with more blunders to marvel at! Carlos Sainz spent 12 seconds in the pits: their guys not ready for a tire change and they left a tire gun in the way for Sergio Perez to run over. Nice!
The Canadians: Lance Stroll 10th to score a point. Nick Latifi, slow all weekend: 18th.
F-1 Points into Monza Italy on the 11th: Verstappen’s Driver’s lead on Perez is a wide 109. All Verstappen needs is 4 wins of the remaining 8 races to win a second-straight title. Even with four DNF’s, which is highly unlikely, he can still win the championship. In Constructors: Red Bull leads Ferrari by 135.
Next GP: Sunday September 11th: The Italian Grand Prix, Monza.

The win put the fabled Petty-GMS #43 in victory lane for the first time since 2014. Denny Hamlin settled for 2nd, Tyler Reddick 3rd. Playoff favourite Chase Elliott did not finish with suspension problems.
