2022 is our 30th Anniversary Season!

Formula One World Driving Championship:

Last Race: Sunday July 24th: The French Grand Prix, Paul Ricard, Le Castellet/Marseille: with the whack-a-doodle blue and red striped runoff areas. Tire-killing hot!  Title rivals Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen ran nose-to-tail throughout the opening laps but the bottom fell out when LeClerc made another “mistake” and swapped ends in his Ferrari in turn 11 on lap 17-hard into the tire barrier, the 3rd time this season the young Monegasque broke or crashed out of the lead! After that calamity, it was milk-run for Max for his 7th win of the season. LeClerc figures he’s tossed away 32 points though errors this season! In his 300th F-1 start, Lewis Hamilton and team mate George Russell 2nd and 3rd, double-podium for a huge Constructors total for Mercedes!

Canadians in France: Lance Stroll 10th and in the points for Aston Martin, Nick Latifi, his 2nd DNF in a row for Williams, a flat and damage.

F-1 Points into Hungary: Max Verstappen’s lead over Charles LeClerc is now 60. Red Bull’s Constructors advantage on Ferrari is wide at 82, with Mercedes now just 44 back of the Red Cars.

Next Race: Sunday July 31st : The Hungarian Grand Prix, Budapest.
